In the spirit of New Year New Me, we have certainly started 2018 with a mighty bang! Not only have we been a-travelling (Riga, take us back!) but we have had an almighty amount of cracking submissions! Well done all of you who made our Regular Submission Deadline – you are nailing this 20-GREAT-TEEN malarkey!

So, as we have already mentioned, we did in fact go to Riga this fine month to do our first ever screening with the glorious art-house that is Kino Bize. And it could not have gone better! We had a ridiculous amount of fun meeting and greeting with the gaggle of indie-film fans who came to event and our films went down a treat! It was sad to say good-bye to the city, and to our new friends at Kino Bize, but we know we’ll be working with them again soon enough!

We also have made an exciting announcent this month – we have made a friend!! Yay! We are, of course, talking about our darling new sister festival, Mt Fuji Atami Film and VR Festival! Find out more about it here.

We have also kept up with our beloved regular features, as you know we’d never let you down! This month, we shone our beaming light on the incredibly talented filmmakers that are Rachel Morrison, Rungano Nyoni, and Jordan Peele . We also offered some of our in-depth analysis on the films the Shape of Water, Molly’s Game, Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri, and On the Beach at Night Alone.

Well, that’s all the updates we have for you for now, except one final thing – be sure not to miss our FINAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE THIS SUNDAY!!!! You have until 23:59 CET to do it, and you really should – you’ve gotta keep this new 2018 you as glorious as it has been so far!

Don’t forget to keep checking our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (as well as our jazzy Pinterest and Tumblr pages) to keep up-to-date with our constant shenanigans.

Ciao, bellas!
