I, Le Monde Est Stone – America in 80 Films @ Forum des Images 

Forum des images, an independent cinema near Chatelet is celebrating American cinematography and screening 80 “very American” films with their event „Le Monde Est Stone„. If that wasn’t enough, they have even invited Oliver Stone!! The festival is on until the 28th of February. Don’t miss out!


II, French Cinema with English Subtitles @ Club d’Étoile

Still not getting through a French movie without subtitles? Lost in Frenchlation has got you covered! This month, they are screening Gaspard Va Au Mariage, catch it on Friday 2nd  February! The film is going to be preceeded by a special comedy show and a drinks reception – be there!


III, The MoMa in Paris @ Fondation Louis Vutton

More than 200 works of the MoMa (New York) brought to you to Paris, by the Louis Vuitton Foundation. The exhibition has been going on for a while now, so this is practically your last chance to go and see it. Now you’ve told you, there is NO EXCUSE to miss  this fabulous event!


IV, Daho L’aime Pop – Exhibition @ La Philharmonie de Paris


Ever heard of Étienne Daho? You have now! You need to see this exhibition that explores the world of Daho – one of the French pop and its evolution. For such art and music enthusiasts like us, this is just the kind of thing we need to get us through this month.


V, 6 Films au Féminin @ Cinéma Saint André Des Arts Paris

Between the 14th and 20th of February, there will be a different screening of the 6 films of a very exciting female trio: director Caroline Chomienne, choreographer Andrea Sitter and the scriptwriter Corinne Atlas. All 6 films are concerned with the experience of young artists, from a female perspective. Each screening will be followed by a different discussion, focused on feminism, cinema, the role of dance in film, and the youth of the French quartiers populaires.


VI, Celebration of the Chinese New Year @ Multiple venues and restaurants in Paris

On the 16th of February, various streets of Paris will transform into an enormous parade, celebrating the year of the dog according to the Chinese calendar. Several of Paris’s best Chinese restaurants will organise special soirées and have special offers on. If you’ve been dying to put on some fancy dress, or to simply eat a delicious Chinese snack at Le Food Market, this is your chance!
