First and foremost, submissions for ÉCU 2017 are officially open! Whether you are a documentary aficionado, experimental film buff or a music video maven, ÉCU is always excited to discover new talented and innovative directors, producers, screenwriters and actors.
We pride ourselves on being a truly unique film festival with a wide and varied assortments of film festival partnerships, ensuring that all filmmakers who submit to us have the best opportunity to screen their works to as many industry experts, fellow film devotees and members of the general public, as possible.
Exemplifying this wide-reach is the thrilling Sci-Fi drama, Flytrap, the winner of Best Non-European Dramatic Feature at ÉCU 2015 which has now gone on to receive huge success on amazon.

Moreover, ÉCU On the Road – our solution to those of you who are unable to attend our annual film festival in Paris – is now underway and promoting our 2016 Official Selection directors and films to film festivals around the world.
On top of the festivals we have visited – including Lebanon’s Cabriolet Film Festival and London’s Vault Film Festival – on the first week of September, seven film from the ÉCU 2016 Official selection will be screened at at Arkadia Shortfest in Băicoi, Romania – we are so overjoyed to be visiting our Romanian friends!
Finally, two of our cherished festival partnerships, Tennessee’s On Location: Memphis and Spain’s Rural Film Festival, have both kicked off this month and are sure to be jam-packed with exciting new films and great events – check out their websites for more details!
