As part of ÉCU-on-the-Road 2013/2014 tour, ÉCU is traveling to Barcelona, Spain to screen 24 films from 12 countries, a selection of the best independent films from ÉCU 2013 Official Selection. The screenings and workshops will be held between November 14th to 16th at Raval.

During the three-day event there will be Q&A session with Catalan filmmaker Hammudi Al-Rahmoun Font, the director of OTHELLO, winner of Europe’s Best Independent Film at ÉCU 2013, as well as workshops on directing and screenwriting.

We’re pleased to be taking ÉCU-On-The-Road to Barcelona in November and very excited to have the director of Europe’s Best Independent Film 2013 working so closely with us. Hammudi Al-Rahmoun Font is a talented filmmaker and it’s inspiring for people to interact directly with one of generation’s great filmmaking talents.” says ÉCU Film Festival President Scott Hillier.

The selection includes the Best European Independent Dramatic Feature 2013, “Girl Shaped Love Drug” by Simon Powell (UK), Best Non-European Independent Dramatic Short 2013, “Buzkashi Boys” by Sam French (Afghanistan/USA) and Best Independent Music Video 2013, “I’ve Only Just Begun” by Elias Koskimies (Finland). How to get there?

All the screenings and workshops will be taking place at: Raval, Auditorio Blanquerna (calle Valldonzella 12, 08001 Barcelona). 

The best way to reach the location is by Metro: L1 Ronda Universitat or L3 Plaça Catalunya

How to purchase your passes?
