Each year after the festival in Paris, ÉCU takes its films on a tour called ÉCU on the Road to screen the best independent works to moviegoers from all over the world.

This year, ÉCU is delighted to screen its winning films in Tbilisi, Georgia and that for a number of reasons:

* Georgia’s rich culture and history are breeding grounds for great filmmakers and ÉCU wishes to forge a strong relationship with the country’s film industry

* In meeting new filmmakers, ÉCU’s strong social media outlet would like to promote their work internationally to an audience of film industry professionals

* ÉCU is eager to showcase the winning independent films from 2011 including best European Dramatic Short awarded to Georgian filmmaker Tornike Bziava for his film April Chill

In showcasing its best films, ÉCU will be able to introduce to Georgia the independent spirit of filmmaking that has kept filmmakers and fans returning to the European Independent Film Festival year after year.

The 3 day event is taking place on the 7th, 8th and 9th of October in Tbilisi at Cinema Amirani .
