Foreign Dramatic Feature: (Non-European submissions accepted) Open to all Non-European feature films made with less than 50% participation by a major studio or television broadcaster. The film can be in any language, but subtitles in either English or French are highly recommended to ensure the best judging.
Foreign Dramatic Short: (Non-European submissions accepted, less than 30 minutes) Open to all Non-European short films made with less than 50% participation by a major studio or television broadcaster. The film can be in any language, but subtitles in either English or French are highly recommended to ensure the best judging. NOTE: Running time cannot exceed 30 minutes.
Foreign Documentary: (Non-European submissions accepted) Open to all Non-European documentaries made with less than 50% participation by a major studio or television broadcaster. The film can be in any language, but subtitles in either English or French are highly recommended to ensure the best judging.
IMPORTANT: If your film is chosen to be screened at ÉCU we will need the following in order to compile the festival‘s catalogue:
- A short three line synopsis in English and preferably in French
- A screenshot or publicity shot of your film
- The audiences and judges for your films will be very international and to enhance their viewing / judging experiences ALL films that are nominated as part of The Official Selection need to be subtitled.
- If your film is in English, it will need French subtitles.
- If your film is in French, it will need English subtitles.
- If your film is in a language other than English or French, it will need English subtitles.
