Interviews with ÉCU 2015 Filmmakers

Who are these incredible filmmakers that are behind all the wonderful films of ÉCU 2015 Official Selection? During the 10th edition of The European Independent Film Festival, ÉCU Team worked hard not to loose the possibility to interview these amazing storytellers. Some filmmakers who were not attendance, the team is trying to hunt down elsewhere in the world. :)

Richard Ledes, director of THE DARK SIDE. The film is a Non-European Documentary on tragic Hurricane Sandy in USA in 2012.

Noé Weil, director of CONCRETE/NIGHT, a film from the Official Selection of ÉCU Film Festival 2015, and Stephen David Brooks, director of FLYTRAP, a film awarded as the best Non-European Dramatic feature film.

Duncan Ward, film director from United Kingdom whose film HERE LIES won the award for Best European Independent Film at ÉCU Film Festival 2015.

Yuri Alves, film director from USA whose film EXIT ROAD was competing in the Non-European Dramatic Short film category at ÉCU 2015.

Sebastien Pins, film director from Belgium whose film THE PASSION OF GOLD AND FIRE was competing in the European Short film category at ÉCU 2015.

Sam Gilmore and Felix Jude West are directors from London, UK. Their short film ABOVEBOARD was competing in the European Short film category at ÉCU 2015.

Mohammed Alsalman, director of AMONGST, the winner of the Special Arab Selection category of our 10th edition of the ÉCU Film Festival. We had the chance to interview Mohammed during the Cannes Film Festival.

Brigitte Drodtloff, director of HUMAN, a filmmaker from Germany whose film was screened in our European Dramatic Short category.

Sophie-Clémentine Dubois, director of THE DANDELION, a film that was competing in the Comedy Film category. THE DANDELION also won Audience Award at the 2015 festival.

Guillaume Levil, director of THE ANKLET. This was Guillaume’s second time being part of the festival. In 2014 he won the Special Jury Mention award with his feature film YOU CANNOT WRITE A LETTER… and… at ÉCU 2015 he took home the award for Best European Independent Dramatic Short.

Thierry Sebban, director of PSEUDONYM, a film from the European Dramatic Features category.

Christopher Peters, director of 127. All the way from New Zealand, this film was competing in Non-European Dramatic Short category and won the award for Best Cinematography at the festival.
