As the climatic apex of the sun-soused, skin sweltering summer season is in swift apparition, ÉCU is more eager than ever to capitalise on the exciting developments that occur in the world of cinema in the summer months and share these thrilling times with our loyal readers!

This year, ÉCU 2017 – which ran from the 21st – 23rd of April at Cinéma Les 7 Parnassiens and Cinéma Le Lincoln in Paris – erupted onto the European independent festival circuit as a directorial talented-effused, transfixing film-packed, fiesta-filled glowing success!

We attain immense pride from the success of our yearly indie film-packed festival in its contribution to the progression a plethora of enormously talented filmmakers’ careers and  consequently its overall support of the advancement of independent cinema!

ÉCU 2017 presented a jarring slate of absorbing, moving and daring films, including Giada Ghiringhelli’s Rhythm of Being which was awarded award for ‘Best Experimental Film’. This month, we were lucky enough to catch up with Ghiringhelli to speak with her about her vibrantly avant-garde representation of individual origination and growth.
