Films may be submitted in any language, however must have subtitles in English except if the film is in English it must have French subtitles. Appropriate subtitles are required to ensure accurate judging abilities. Running time cannot exceed 30 minutes.

It’s such an honour to be selected to join all of the extremely talented artists within the ÉCU festival program. There’s such a vast amount of creativity in the world today and ÉCU is a great platform for global artists to really express themselves fully.

Films may be submitted in any language, however must have subtitles in English except if the film is in English it must have French subtitles. Appropriate subtitles are required to ensure accurate judging abilities.

ÉCU was the first to see the film’s merits, the first to grant it an award. What a special time that was in Paris!

IMPORTANT: If your film is chosen to be screened at ÉCU we will need the following in order to compile the festival‘s catalogue:

1. Copy of your film – a Vimeo link OR link to a downloadable file (via WeTransfer/Dropbox)
2. Non-English films need to be subtitled in English and if the film is in English then French subtitles
3. Two digital stills of film (high resolution)
4. One digital photo of director
5. Short synopsis in English and in French
6. Official trailer available online/digitally transferrable to us

The 2018 Official Selection will be announced on March 14th 2018 and will offer ÉCU festival attendees of all ages and tastes a chance to experience the unique offerings that can only be found at an indie film fest.
