What an amazing start to the festival ! Filmmakers, VIPs, jury members and the ÉCU team all came together over a glass of wine to kick off the opening night and then we had a packed cinéma for the first 10 films. The audience réaction was overwhelmingly positive with gasps, sighs and spontaneous applause. We’re really excited to continue all through the weekend bringing the best of European independent cinéma to Paris.
Ouverture du Festival ÉCU
Quels débuts ébouriffants pour la sixième édition du Festival européen du film indépendant ! Réalisateurs, peoples, membres du jury ainsi que l’ensemble de l’équipe qui entoure Scott Hillier, qui préside aux destinées de l’événement se sont retrouvés au cocktail dinatoire d’ouverture, avant d’assister à la projection « privée » des dix premiers films en compétition. Le public ainsi réuni était plus qu’enthousiaste, n’hésitant pas s’extasier parfois, en poussant des vivas voire des hourras…ou en rompant le silence par des applaudissements nourris à l’occasion. Inutile de préciser combien il est excitant de participer à cette manifestation qui fait de Paris la capitale du film indépendant, et ce, trois jours durant. A suivre…
