January might seem like a slow month. Temperatures drop, Christmas holidays have ended, people go back to work and only tourists brave enough to bare the cold can be seen admiring the city. But Paris being the city of lights, love and fashion always offers a reason to stroll around through its streets.

Event: January Sales

Sales are standardised in France. This means that shops are only allowed to hold sales twice a year: January and July. So if you are lucky enough to be in France on this cold month be sure to walk through the different areas of Paris because each caters for a different audience and pocket. If you are looking for brands and jewellery you should go through Ópera, Louvre or Champs Elysées. If you are looking for something more chic and unique don’t miss the areas of Bastille and Montmatre. If what you are looking for are artistic things, specialised books and so on, you must walk around St.Germain. Basically, January sales are another reason to get lost through the streets of Paris, you never know…you may be in for a treat!
