ÉCU is proud to share an exciting event in the world of cinema. In early June, Lebanon is hosting Cabriolet Film Festival, a very dear ÉCU partner festival.

Cabriolet Film Festival is the first outdoor short film festival in Lebanon, which was launched in 2009. The festival is known for its efforts to highlight ongoing global issues, support human rights, freedom of expression, equality, by adopting a theme each year. For its 8th edition, the festival is focusing on the theme of conflict, which refers to a struggle between opposing forces – something which is not unfamiliar to the host city.

Various films will be presented on 27th, 28th, 29th of May in Beirut. Festival days are full of diverse programs, including fiction, documentary, video art and animation movies, from all over the world.  In fact, festival-goers can see three amazing films that were part of ÉCU 2016: Box, Mayday Relay, The Typist. Great opportunity is ahead not only for the public, but for filmmakers as well, since the festival is hosting an exciting event, a unique forum of exchange and dialogue.

It’s clear that ÉCU is very lucky to have a partnership with a truly daring festival.
