Premiering Spring 2011, Dirty Old Town is a new Gonzo Narrative from young trio Jenner Furst, Daniel B Levin and Julia Willoughby Nason. This dark comedy depicts the disintegration of Bowery landmark Billy’s Antiques and Props. Facing eviction, the iconic store owner descends into a cosmic ring of fire in a tale that playfully blurs the line between reality and fiction. This film is a pure example of art imitating life…imitating art, in a story all too familiar to the changing streets of Manhattan. Watch the ÉCU interview with the filmmakers and discover their vision of Dirty Old Town.
