Unfortunately the filmmakers of the Oscar-nominated film “Buzkashi Boys” are unable to come to ÉCU 2013, but yesterday ÉCU was able to interview the producer of the film, Ariel Nasr. He told us about the making of “Buzkashi Boys,” the team’s experience at the Oscars, and his NGO, The Afghan Film Project.
at the Gibus Club was a fantastic event full of fun, live music, and previews of films from the ÉCU 2013 Official Selection. The venue was full of people who came out to enjoy the great indie spirit of the ÉCU film festival!

As part of ÉCU-On-The-Road 2012, ÉCU recently traveled all the way to Beijing, China to screen 9 of the best independent films of ÉCU's 2012 "Official Selection." The screenings were held on the 3rd of November at The Western Academy of Beijing. Read all about ÉCU's interesting week in China
ÉCU traveled to Cyprus to visit the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus. ISFFC aims to increase and accentuate the prominence of the short film genre. The first edition of the The Luxor Egyptian & European Film Festival took place from the 17-22nd of September, 2012 in Luxor, Egypt.
The Festival presented more than 50 films, out of which 9 came from ÉCU 2012 Official Selection! Over a hundred guests visited from all around Europe and Egypt. Check it out, ÉCU in Egypt Over the weekend of October 7th, 2012, ÉCU was honored to present “ÉCU in Georgia” as part of the ÉCU-On-The-Road tour. The Romanian Festival - Ro-IFF- is the only international film festival that dared to be different by looking towards the Black Sea region's film industry.
