October is coming to a close, and we’ve been up to quite a lot here at ÉCU!
This month, we’ve reviewed Good Time, All These Sleepless Nights, Mother!, and The Florida Project. We’ve also shone our spotlight on Elizabeth Moss, Lone Scherfig, Houda Benyamina, and most recently, Abdellat Kechiche. You can see all of our reviews and spotlights, as well as things to do in Paris, and ÉCU On-The-Road Updates, on our blog.
Earlier this month, on October 12, ÉCU screened a selection of amazing independent short films in Prague, at the prestigious Prague Film School. We’re so happy to have had the chance to visit such an incredible establishment, and share work from incredibly talented filmmakers! You can see more about our trip to the Czech Republic here.
This weekend, ÉCU shared select short films at the Super8000 Film Festival (try saying that 10 times fast!). This fresh new festival is taking place in the Danish city of Aarhus, recently declared the European Capital of Culture. You can learn more about our trek to this fascinating and innovative festival here.
Although our clocks fell back this past Sunday, we’re charging ahead into some fantastic events! Our team is gearing up for The Aesthetica Short Film Festival, in York, UK, from November 8 – 12. ÉCU is participating in The Meet The Film Festivals Marketplace, and we’re greatly looking forward to engaging with budding and established filmmakers! Click here to learn more about ASFF.
As always, you can keep up with us here at ÉCU through our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Make sure to stay tuned — we’re quite an active bunch, and we love to chat!
