Victoria Film Festival is a new fresh actor on the Romanian film festivals market. Its first edition will take place between 22nd-25th of August in Victoria, a small city at the bottom of Fagaras mountains. Young in spirit, eco friendly and full of positive energy the festival is inviting everyone to escape the big cities, take their bicycles and enjoy 4 days of good movies, live concerts, film workshops with professionals and fresh air while camping in a small natural paradise. The official selection presents 40 Romanian feature films, shorts and documentaries that won prizes in both national and international film festivals.
Besides the local selection, through the partnership with ÉCU- The European Independent Film Festival, Victoria opens to international films as well. Having a dedicated section, ÉCU will present a 1h:30 screening of the Parisian festival’s winners of the last 3 editions. The selection will include: “I’ve Only Just Begun” (2013), “Stanley Pickle” (2011), “Paths of Hate” (2011), “A Lost and Found Box of Human Sensations” (2012), “Zoltan-The Hungarian Gangster of Love”(2012), “Counting Happiness” (2013), “The Game” (2012), “The Padlock” (2012) and “EAT” (2013).
ÉCU is excited to be part of this experience and have the opportunity to promote the independent spirit together with Victoria Film Festival to the Romanian public!
