Spring is right around the corner! If you’re tired of the snow and ready to embrace a little much needed sunshine, keep reading! Because here, we’ve compiled some exciting events happening to help you make the most of the month.

I, Le Printemps du Cinéma

March 18th kicks off an exciting 3 days here in Paris. Starting on the 18th and going through the 20th, Le Printemps du Cinéma allows you to purchase any movie ticket for only 4. The event takes place in over 5,800 cinemas across France. So take advantage and fit in as many films as you can!

 

II, Cinéma du Réel

This festival has been an annual event since 1984, and is amazing platform for foreign film to find their audience. Take time out of your month to support indie works here in Paris, tickets are no more than 6 € per person. Click here to see their site.

 

III, Les Femmes S’en Mêlent 

Here at ÉCU, we love to support indie art in any form! We see Les Femmes S’en Mêlent as a fantastic way for indie music to be seen, heard, and appreciated.

Each year, they take time to spotlight different female artists from around Paris, showcasing them through different hand-picked concerts. So, mark March 15-17 on your calendars and don’t miss out!

IV, Lost In Frenchlation

And of course there’s Lost in Frenchlation; no stranger to these articles. If you want to enjoy french cinema but don’t have a handle on the language yet, Lost in Frenchlation will bridge the gap for you. They screen french films with english subtitles allowing you to mix entertainment with culture. Check out their March events to find the right film for you.

V, Filmapalooza

The 48 Hour Film Project will be held in Paris this year! Starting March 6th-8th this event will give you the chance to look at filmmaking from a different angle.

Each year it screens the very best films that were written, shot, and edited in 48 hours. This is something I’m sure you won’t want to miss. Make sure to register first though!
