 Paris Carnival

The Sunday before Mardi Gras, there’s the Carnival Procession – called La Promenade du Boeuf Gras. It’s a tradition inherited from the Middle Ages, during which the poor could imitate the Kings and the latter could be treated as commoners. Every year, it attracts more than fifty thousands spectators: there are shows, live music, theater plays – many events to suit all tastes. The parade starts from Place Gambetta and ends at Place de la République with a big party in the square. Are you ready to dress up? 3rd March is the day!

St. Patrick’s Day

Last but not least are you crazy about the idea of getting dressed up in all green, listening to Celtic music and drinking beer? Another thing to do in March, if you feel like having a good time, is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on the 17th. In Paris, there are many pubs where you can have a beer and you’ll be amazed by the fact that spots such as the Moulin Rouge and the Arc De Triomphe will be illuminated with green light. Also, the Centre Culturel Irlandais will host concerts and events concerning this unique Irish celebration.
